^Lot 1135 Zastava / GPC M48 8mm #A70526

Yugoslavian made bolt-action centerfire rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser, and produced between 1950-1965. Manufactured by Zastava, this is a version of the German K98K. Imported by Gun Parts Corporation out of Hurley, NY, with the import markings on right side of the barrel. Rifle features a blued refinish, 24" barrel, smooth curved trigger, turned down bolt handle, chromed bolt, hooded inverted 'V' front sight, tangent style rear sight graduated to 2000 meters, cleaning rod under barrel, bayonet lug, receiver mounted bolt release, 'H' type barrel band, and flag type three position manual safety. The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with a sling slot cut-out, smooth forend and handguard, sling swivel on rear barrel band, and shiny cupped metal butt-plate. The rifle is marked with the Yugo crest and "M48" on receiver ring. The blued refinish retained is approximately 97% with some light edge wear, minimal scratches, and the front sight hood is plum colored. Matched serial number's on receiver, bolt handle, stock, and floorplate. Metal displays rust on the butt-plate, and there are some dings on the barrel bands. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the action is smooth and crisp. The hardwood furniture is in excellent condition.
